San Francisco’s Stonehenge

Off The Great Highway, corner of Wawona Street

I know, it’s not in a circle, and I don’t think there’s a special place to stand on this old sewer pipe to watch the summer solstice. Yet when I entered from the Great Highway to take a stroll on the stormy beach yesterday and saw this, Stonehenge was the first thing that popped into my mind.

I particularly like this face, so keen and focused in the murky gray of the storm.
